Many ships have been identified by name and described in Star Wars without sufficient detail being provided to classify them by role. While their producers may have given them a classification in their model name, this is not necessarily indicative of where they fall on a given classification scale (e.g. the Lancer frigate being a mere picket, the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser being a star frigate).
