Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be episode VII of the Star Wars storyline.
- While the Emperor is dead, at least some elements of the Empire still remain. Both Stormtroopers and TIE fighters appear in the teaser trailer.
- X-wings are still in service.
- The Millennium Falcon will appear in the film.
- Someone, presumably a Sith, has a red lightsaber with a "laser crossguard".
- Luke Skywalker's prosthetic hand no longer appears to be human, perhaps due to the situation making cosmetic maintenance a low priority.
