History: The Prometheus Class was one of 3 major designs meant to fight the Borg. The USS Prometheus was comissioned in 2374. It was later hijacked by Romulan forces only to be retaken by the Doctor and the Prometheus's EMH. It exceeded all expectations in live combat, being able to destroy a [D'deridex Class]] Warbird. In 2377, It was part of the fleet that was present at Voyager's return.
