Yes you are correct.However I have the impression that Geonosis is the main or the only production centre for the common standard battle droid and probably for at least one other type
of droid.Secrecy may be a problem:I do not think that they could have dozen of factories of that size on several planets without anyone (Jedi knights) noticed them and eventually figured out the whole scheme.The risk is probably too high.
The Commerce guild and the Banking clan have their own security
forces,such as the trade federation in the Phantom Menace.These security forces are probably relatively limited,in the order of hundreds of thousands of droids but not many more.And both organization probably lack a massive industrial base,their main contribution is in terms of money and transports.The factories of the Techno Union and of the others organizations will be probably the primary targets of the clone army.Of course the clones can not destroy all the enemy factories but probably they can gain enough time to allow the republic to organize/build its own armies of volounteers and maybe droids.
