Re: "There is a hypothesis among some Warsies..." -- is this a common contention? It's the first time I've ever heard any hint of Anakin being created as an instrument of revenge, and one must wonder why, if this is true, Plagueis wouldn't simply pre-empt Sidious and kill him outright. //Eleas
- There is the argument that future events seen via the Force are unavoidable... the old curse of prophecy. Basically, every future vision we saw in Star Wars came to pass, so it seems that Force-related precognition is very reliable. When Luke asked Yoda if Han and Leia would die in Imperial custody, Yoda was unable to answer, possibly because there was, as yet, no certainty on their fates. In any case, if Plagueis subscribed to the idea that his own foresight was reliable, then he may have accepted his death and simply planned revenge. Alternatively, he may have had sufficient Force knowledge to achieve the ghost state and somehow managed to effect Anakin's conception from beyond the grave. --Ted C 21:34, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
