The Hutts are a race and a society in the Star Wars universe. Large, ugly slugs, they are typically merchants or crime lords. Hutt gangsters controll "Hutt space," a large part of the Outer Rim territories including Tatooine and their homeworld of Nal Hutta.
Well-known Hutts are Jabba the Hutt and Boonta the Hutt.
