"Correct" Spelling?

Why should we use almost never-used "lightsabre" spelling when "lightsaber" is used everywhere except apparently very early draft scripts (and some entry in the credits, IIRC)? I know Bob Brown had a page dedicated to the spelling, but that's down AFAIK and can't be used for a reference. - Mad 18:19, 5 December 2007 (EST)

  • Because, unless I'm mistaken, that is what George Lucas says is the correct spelling. On the other hand, I looked it up on StarWars.com, and the article there spells it "lightsaber", so I guess it's a wash. At least this way, there's now a redirect that will get a visitor to the page either way. --Ted C 23:29, 5 December 2007 (EST)
