Ketracel-white

Ketracel-white (often called just "White") is an addictive substance created by the Founders that contains the nutrients the Jem'Hadar need to survive. It is used as a means of control: without White, the Jem'Hadar suffer from severe withdrawal symptoms and eventually die, making mutinies an impractical proposition. The Alpha Quadrant powers exploited their dependency during the Dominion War by destroying supplies and shipments of White. The White is distributed by the Vorta in a ritual where the Jem'Hadar restate their loyalty to the Founders.
