Charles Robert Darwin (Born 12 February 1809, Died 19 April 1882) was a British Naturalist and member of the Royal Society. Darwin was notable for the creation of the Theory of Evolution by means of Natural Selection in his book On the Origin of Species.

Darwin is often deliberately misquoted by creationists for a variety of reasons. Among these include slandering him as a hardcore racist (which he was not, at least for the time, being involved with the abolitionist movement).
