The speed with which Luke Skywalker and Rey develop their Force skills as young adults shows that the young starting ages and long training times imposed by the Jedi Order are not really necessary for becoming an adept user of the Force. It is therefore likely that requiring Padawans to start as children and training them over the course of many years is more to indoctrinate them with Jedi values and philosophy than to educate them with the skills to manipulate the Force. --Ted C (talk) 14:17, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
