Fantasy is a genre of fiction involving supernatural elements, generally based on mythology and folklore in one way or another.

As fantasy differs from science fiction in many ways, the SD.net BBS has a separate forum for the discussion of fantasy.
As of late, a Fantasy RPG has been created on SD.net.
Genres of Fantasy
Several different sub-genres of fantasy exist, including...
- High fantasy (The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien)
- Low fantasy (Conan the Barbarian)
- Horror fantasy (the Cthulhu mythos by HP Lovecraft, various things involving vampires and werewolves)
- Superhero Genre (Marvel Comics, DC Comics)
- Martial Arts Fantasy/Wuxia (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Hero and various other stuff that comes out of China and Japan)
