Countermeasures

I would dispute the argument that the Enterprise crew could have depressurized Borg-occupied areas of the ship to hamper the Borg advance. The Borg drones that went outside the hull to modify the deflector dish did so without any sort of environmental suit, and they did not appear to be suffering any harm. Depressurizing the area would harm the crewmembers trying to fight the Borg far more than it would harm the Borg intruders. Whether cutting power to entire decks, particularly the Engineering decks -- where major power sources are located, may not be possible, at least not without control of the Engineering areas themselves. --Ted C 14:30, 9 November 2007 (EST)
