Legend of the Galatic Heroes (often Abreviated to LoGH) is a lesser known science fiction Anime television series.

Premise

LoGH is set in the 35st century in which humanity is divided into two factions, the Democratic Free World's Alliance and the Galactic Empire, a Monarchist state with a large number of germanic elements. Said factions have been at war for over a hundred years.
