Commander Donatra is the commanding officer of the Romulan Warbird IRW Valdore. In 2379, she and Commander Suran were participants in Shinzon's coup de e'tat when he killed the Romulan Senate. Later on, she and Suran helped the crew of of the USS Enterprise-E battle the Scimitar, though they were of little help, as their ships were much weaker than the Enterprise-E, which had been fighting for quite some time already. Afterwords, Donatra gave aid to the Enterprise-E.

Non-canon

In the novel, Articles of the Federation, Donatra breaks off from the Romulan Star Empire and takes half of the Romulan Empire, half of the fleet, and all of the major agricultural worlds, forming the Imperial Romulan State and declaring herself Empress. A year later, she makes the IRS an official member of the Khitomer Accords -- alongside the Cardassian Union, Talarian Republic, and Ferengi Alliance -- in response to the formation of the Typhon Pact.
