Naquedah is a grey metallic substance. Naquedah contains a massive amount of potential energy. It is used as a power source and to enhance the explosive force of thermonuclear power. Goa'uld civilization is highly reliant on Naquedah.

A more powerful and more unstable isotope of Naquedah exists known as Naquadriah. Naquadriah has a short half life and as such generally can't be mined.
