Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers is an American Military Science Fiction novel writen by Robert A. Heinlein and first published in 1959. It is a story about a young man who joins the military of a united earth government which gets inbroiled in a war against a Eusocial Insectiod race. The novel has some elements which are generally disagreed on, such as a pro-corporal punishment stance and a positive protrail of a society in which political franchise is limited to those who preform some catagory of government service (such as military). A live action movie version with many creative liberies was released in 1997, which has two dreadful direct to DVD sequels.

Influence

Despite its motre controversial elements, Starship Troopers is among the more influenial works in regards to science fiction. It was one of the first science fiction novels to involve Power Armor, as well as creating the Cliche of rigorously trained heavily armored infantry.
