Body Armor is a catagory of clothing designed to protect the wearer from damage, praticularly in combat. Body armor has been in existance since the dawn of civilization, although was largely abandoned after the development of Firearms, only comming back in the 20th century to adress conserns of Shrapnal and latter the development of Balistic textiles and ceramics.
Body Armor in Science Fiction
- In the Star Wars universe, most soldiers wear some sort of body armor. Notable among them being Stormtroopers and Mandalorians
- In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, there is a wide variety of Body Armor worn, including Wraithbone Eldar combat armor, Imperial Flak and Carapace armor and Tau Combat Armor.
