Commander Farsight

Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr (Generally abreviated to O'Shovah (Tau: Commander Farsight)) is a ledgendary Tau Commander and Renegade.

History

O'Shovah was notable for leading the forces of the Tau Empire against the Imperium during the Damocles Gulf Crusade, as well as engaging in numerous conflicts against the Orks. Unlike most Tau stratagists, he believed that some level of Hand to Hand combat was nessisary. During one of many campaigns, he discovered an artifact known as the Dawn Blade, an ancient weapon capable of inflicting massive damage in close combat. He latter went to form a renegade splinter group on the fringes of the Tau Empire.

O'Shovah has a lot of mystery to him. The first reason being the motivation behind his sucsession of the Farsight Enclaves from the Tau Empire. The Second is still alive to this day and is aparently more than 300 years old, far longer than Tau usually live. The third being the Nature of the Dawn Blade. Among a few common theories among the fanbase involve Chaos Corruption, a C'tan Plot or the Dawnblade being in fact an ancient sword of Eldar Mythology.

Trivia

The word Shovah is also used in the Stargate universe as the Goa'uld term for traitor.
