Science Fiction is a broad genre of fiction based around concepts involving speculative science and technology. The genre has its origins in the ninteenth century, with authors such as Mary Shelley, Jules Vern, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and H.G. Wells, and it has emerged as a massively diverse genre in the twentieth century.
