Anestazine

Anestazine is an anesthetic gas that can be deployed through the ventilation system of Federation starships to subdue intruders. Although it would presumably be useful in many of the situations in which aliens boarded a Starfleet ship, it was used only once (unsuccessfully) in the TNG episode "The Hunted".
