United Kingdom

The United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland is a Parliamentry constitutional Monarchy located in the British Isles, north of France. The United Kingdom from 1600 was a prominent European nation, creating colonies which would latter become nations such as the United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and by the early 19th century was the most powerful nation on earth. The United Kingdom also laid the foundations for much of the world's current democratic traditions, developed much in the line of technology, started the industrial revolution and contributed much towards science (Netwonian physics and evolution by means of natural selection being big on the list) and culture. Even though the British Empire fell apart in the last half of the twentieth century, Britian remains a wealthy, powerful and culturally infuential nation.
