Russian Federation

The Russian Federation is a Eurasian nation created after the fall of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1991. It is the world's largest nation geographicially and has a large population (142 million people) and has a relatively powerful military and an established space program, but Russia has suffered economically after the fall of Communism and it will be some time before the recovery is complete.
