Anybody actually think that the crew Ferengi ship that attacked the USS Stargazer were just mentally retarded considering that any species capable of FTL travel should have FTL sensors to see whats ahead of them? Daedalus-01 11:01, 6 September 2008 (UTC)Daedalus-01

• FTL sensors don't seem to have sufficient resolution for good targeting, so everybody uses lightspeed sensors for combat. Even when fighting at warp, they get within spitting distance of each other so the sensor pulses can propagate within their overlapping warp fields (only excuse I can think of for the tiny ranges involved). --Ted C 12:59, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
