The Zat'nikatel is a Naquadah-powered Goa'uld sidearm. Unlike most Goa'uld weapons, it has an exotic operation. It was introduced by Teal'c in the episode "Within the Serpent's Grasp" [1].
Nicknamed a "zat gun," the first shot will stun its target, the second shot will typically kill its target, and the third shot will typically disintegrate its target. The last feature is handy for keeping the soundstage uncluttered during action scenes.
