Boss Nass was the leader of the Gungans during the timeframe of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Responsible for the exile of Jar-Jar Binks, Boss Nass decreed Binks would be pounded to death if he ever returned. Due to the extenuating circumstances of the Trade Federation invasion, he did not carry out this sentence, but did appoint Jar-Jar Binks to a battlefield command. Sadly, Binks survived this assignment.
