The Low Altitude Assault Transport (LAAT) was a class of Repulsorlift gunships fielded by the Galactic Republic during the clone wars. Several varients were produced to fufill various roles

Varients

  • LAAT/i (Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry)-The most common varient, the LAAT/i was designed to ferry infantry across the battlefield and to provide airiel fire support to ground forces with a powerful arsenal of three anti personel laser turrets, Four composit beam cannons and a pair of missile launchers.
  • LAAT/c (Low Altitude Assault Transport/carrier)-LAAT/c was designed to transport and deploy vehicles such as the AT-TE Walker, but was far more lightly armed than its infantry carrying counterpart, with only three antipersonel laser turrets.
