The Force is an energy field generated by living things in the Star Wars galaxy. A small minority of living things have the ability to manipulate this energy field for "paranormal" effects. Force-sensitive individuals can be identified by a high concentration of microscopic midichlorians living in their cells.
Force-related phenomena include (but are not necessarily limited to):
- Telekinesis
- Telepathy
- Precognition
- Clairvoyance
- Superhuman feats of strength and speed
- Generation and control of electric arcs
In versus debates, the Force is generally assumed to exist in all galaxies and universes.
