Ablative armor

Ablative armor is a type of armor seen on starships such as the Defiant Class, Prometheus Class, and Sovereign Class. It is very durable taking multiple hits from Dominion weapons, and the Scimitar's weapons. There is another kind that is used on Voyager. It is capable of covering the entire ship and only showing certain weapons when needed, as well as taking multiple hits from 3 Borg Cubes with little damage. Alblative Armor allows the ship to stay in combat even after the shields have failed.
