A '''Submarine''' is a catagory of ship capable of Submerging itself underwater, for both civilian and military purposes. Submarines were experimented with since the 18th century, with the first submarine which managed to destroy a ship being the CSS Hunley during the American Civil War, although the Submarine's prominance as a key part of the Navy would wait until the onset of the Great War. The main advantage of being able to submerge underwater is that of stealth.
