Ro Laren is a Bajorian "tough girl" picked up out of prison by Picard because of her connections with certain members of a major Bajoran terrorist group. Rough around the edges Ro clashed with Riker repeatedly after coming onboard, only to eventually indulge in a short love affair with him after the crew lost all their memories (TNG, "Conundrum"). Ro is often shown to be brash and straight-forward, but her rough exterior hides an inner tenderness shown (TNG, "Preemptive Strike"). It is revealed that Ro's father died very early in her life, and as a result she was raised in an orphanage on a Cardassian occupied Bajoran colony. She probably has more testosterone pumping through her veins than any male member of the crew. | Ro Laren is a Bajorian "tough girl" picked up out of prison by Picard because of her connections with certain members of a major Bajoran terrorist group.
