History

Even by Goa'uld standards, Anubis was notable for committing crimes considered unspeakable, and as such he was exiled by the System Lords thousands of years ago. While he was presumed dead by the Goa'uld, he instead managed to ascend. Seeing the threat he posed, the Ancients "descended" him to the physical world as a non-corporeal being. Never-the-less, he retained much knowledge and was able to secretly develop a technologically superior yet numerically small military (including upgraded shields for Ha'tak-class motherships, advanced cybernetic systems and Kull warriors) and attempted to conquer the System Lords as well as establishing alliances with other system lords to bolster their forces.
