Battlestar Galactica is a popular science fiction franchise based around the concept of a fleet of human refugees fleeing a genocidal race of robots and searching for a planet known as Earth. The franchise includes the following series:
- Battlestar Galactica (1978): the original, season long cult Sci-Fi series
- Battlestar Galactica 1980 (1980): a follow up series of very low quality.
- "New" Battlestar Galactica (2003-2008): a remake by Ronald Moore that started with a two-part, four-hour miniseries. Often called "Neo-Battlestar Galactica" or "nBSG", the show is currently popular among SD.net's population.
