Nanotechnology is, as the name inplies, technology on the nanometer (billionths of a meter) scale working at the mollecular and atomic levels, covering a wide field of disiplines from medical aplications to computer systems. The most well known varient of this is that of Nanorobotics, which is the creation of microscopic robots (Commonly called 'Nanorobots', 'Nanobots' or 'Nanites') and is generally slated for aplications in medicine and in computer manufactuirng.
