Freespace 2 is a well-known space fighter simulator. It failed commercially due to lack of advertising by Interplay, but it has a strong modding community. The game was released for free, and is a favourite of many SDN members, such as Ace Pace and even Stark.
It is perhaps one of only two things not hated by Stark. And it has cool particle effects despite being released in 1999.
