Incom T-65 X-wing

The X-wing starfighter is the most famous starfighter in use by the Rebel Alliance.

The Incom T-65 X-wing is a well-rounded space superiority starfighter with average maneuverability compared to its contemporaries. The T-65 model's armament consists of four long-range laser cannons at the ends of its wings and a pair of proton torpedo tubes in the fuselage. Its deflector shield system often allows it to take several hits from other starfighter weapons before being disabled or destroyed.

The X-wing's hyperdrive allows it to perform strike missions without requiring a carrier to transport it into battle.

X-wings are built by Incom. Following the company's nationalization by the Empire, production was scattered to machine shops across the galaxy.
