-The Galaxy class was first introduced in the late 2350s/early 2360s as one of the most advanced ships in the [[Federation]]. The class is extremely massive compared to most starships. By the year 2371, three ''Galaxy''-class Ships were destroyed: the ''USS Yamato'', ''USS Odyssey'', and ''USS Enteprise-D''. ''Galaxy''-class starships fought in notably in [[Dominion War]] battles such as Operation Return, the Raid on Torros 3, The 1st Battle of Chin'toka, and the Battle of Cardassia. The USS Galaxy was also part of Task Force Omega in 2379.
