Marvel Comics is one of two big publishers in the American Comic industries. Started as Timely Comics in 1939, Marvel emerged as what it is today starting in 1961 with the Release of The Fantastic Four #1, which marked the creation of the Marvel Universe by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko
