Socialism refers to a set of schools of thought based around the concept that it is beneficial for society to function together to minimize diferences between socio-economic classes. One who subsbribes to said schools of thought is known as a socialist.
While Socialist Policies have been sucsessful in Europe, in the United States sugnfigant sections of the population have developed a strong fear of Socialism.
