Knights Of The Old Republic is an RPG video game developed by BioWare, set 4,000 years before Star Wars during a war between the Old Republic and a Sith empire. It revolves around the efforts of the Jedi to find the power source that Darth Revan and Darth Malak discovered and that Darth Malak is using to supply the Sith Empire.
The game gives the player the option of choosing to either become a Jedi or a Sith, and has two different endings depending on which path is taken. Lucasarts canon policy, however, states that the Jedi ending is the canon one.
The game was very successful and considered to one of the best games released on the Xbox, and one of the best Star Wars games ever released.
