Star Wars: Attack of the Clones is episode II of George Lucas's Star Wars storyline. It tells how the Clone Wars began, and gives the first hints of how Anakin Skywalker succumbs to the Dark Side of the Force.
The film had a very mixed reception, in no small part because of the nitpicking revolving around how the romance between Anakin and Padme was done and the continued presence of Jar-Jar Binks, even though those scenes only took up a small portion of the movie. Praise for it includes the battle scenes and showing the failings of the Old Republic and the Jedi Order.
