An Excape Pod (also known as a Life pod) is a paracite spacecraft designed to it's crew to excape the vessel should the need arise.
Examples
- In Star Wars, R2 D2 and C3PO Escaped from the Tantive-IV aboard one of it's escape pods.
- In Babylon 5,Starfury Fightercraft are equiped with Excape pods to allow them to jetison in case of destruction.
