The Enterprise-B is an Excelsior-class starship, Federation registry number NCC-1701-B. The vessel appeared in the beginning of Star Trek: Generations as it is being launched from space dock for the first time. The ship is not quite finished, many of its systems are scheduled to be installed "on Tuesday" which has become a running joke among many of the fans.
The ship's only mission on record is an emergency rescue from the Nexus. Among those saved are Guinan and Dr. Tolian Soran. Kirk is presumed killed in the effort.
