The USS Akagi (NCC-62158) was a Rigel-class starship in the 24th-century. In 2368, the Akagi was part of the 23 ship fleet assembled by Jean-Luc Picard to create a tachyon net to prevent the Romulans led by Sela from assisting the House of Duras during the Klingon Civil War.[1]
In 2374, the Akagi was part of the Ninth Fleet which was headquartered at Deep Space 9.[2] Later that year, it would report 20 MIA and 1 KIA on a casualty list[3]
