* It's been a while since I've seen Voyager, but I seem to keep remembering Seven constantly talking about how "we will adapt" to everything. In the context she uses it in, I could see Seven believing that "repair" is simply "adapting to damage." Where the hell does anyone get the idea that Spock was "modifying the shields"? He just turned the Reliant's shields off remotely. The plan is even explicitly discussed:

- It's been a while since I've seen Voyager, but I seem to keep remembering Seven constantly talking about how "we will adapt" to everything. In the context she uses it in, I could see Seven believing that "repair" is simply "adapting to damage."
