Superweapons are special weaponry employed by almost all government entities and their respective militaries in science fiction.
Nature of Superweapons
Superweapons are commonly portrayed as immensely powerful pieces of weaponry that can cause massive damage on planets or starships. Another common characteristic of superweapons is that they are usually, but not always, special and unique. In other words, they are very difficult to build, and there is typically only one example of the weapon.
