The Hirogen are a species native to the Delta Quadrant and one of the best examples of a monolithic culture.

Hirogen society is generally broken up into small nomadic groups based on spacecraft. Hirogen live for "the hunt", a ritualised activity where they hunt "prey", often sentient beings, for trophies. Dangerous and exotic prey in particular are highly regarded.
