Premise
LoGH is set in the 35th century, in which humanity is divided into two factions: the Democratic Free World's Alliance and the Galactic Empire, a Monarchist state with a large number of Germanic elements. These factions have been at war for over a hundred years. The story focuses on two admirals on either sides, Admiral Yang Wenli and Reinhard von Lohengramm, both of which are potrayed in a sypathetic light despite being posed against each other.
Among the more notable facts about the series is the scale of it's space battles, which often involve tens of thousands of spacecraft.
